How we chose these hotels
An address counts as 13th when its geocoded point lies inside the arrondissement. From the classified tourist hotels, we put those checked by hand first, then ranked by stars from five to one, then by the straight-line distance to the nearest station. None of the 13th’s hotels was checked by hand, and it has no five-star hotel. The twelve above are the first twelve of that ranking that hold a file in our base. Five more hotels with a file come next and are left out by the cap of twelve: Hôtel Novex Paris and Hôtel de la Place des Alpes (two stars), then Hôtel du Roussillon, Hôtel Tolbiac and Hôtel Victoria (one star).

The twelve come from the automatic reading of their websites, so nothing is said about their facilities unless the hotel published it and we dated it. Official category, rooms, address and metro are the base of each note; walking times are derived from the coordinates (80 m a minute, with a factor of 1.3). Prices are not published.
Where the stations are
The 13th has three centres of gravity in this list, plus two addresses on their own.

- Place d’Italie and Tolbiac. Rosalie, Mercure Place d’Italie, Paris Italie, Neptune, Amiral and Beaux Arts are on lines 5, 6 and 7, within three minutes of Place d’Italie or Tolbiac.
- Olympiades. Urban Bivouac and Richemont are on line 14, with a direct run to Orly.
- Quai de la Gare and Avenue de France. Mercure Bibliothèque is on line 6 and Too Hôtel on tram T3a, the two largest four-star houses of the list.
- On their own. Hôtel Henriette is at Les Gobelins (line 7), and Villa Lutèce Port Royal at Campo Formio and Saint-Marcel (line 5).
The 13th has no five-star hotel, and 36 of its 50 classified hotels have two or three stars. The 13th is on the left bank, which sets the taxi fares at €65 and €36. Next door, see hotels in the 14th arrondissement or hotels near Gare de Lyon.
