How we chose these hotels
An address belongs to the 15th when its geocoded point lies inside the arrondissement. We sorted the classified tourist hotels that have a file in our base in this way: those checked by hand first, then stars from four down, then the straight-line distance to the nearest station. We kept the twelve hotels whose nearest station is 200 m or less on foot, and, because the page gives tower distances, the three whose point lies within 1.1 km of the tower: Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel, Hôtel France Eiffel and Pacific Hôtel. Two hotels with a file are left out, the Ibis Paris Gare Montparnasse and the Novotel Paris Centre Gare Montparnasse, both 400 m or more from a station and over 2.5 km from the tower. The 15th has no five-star hotel.

Distances to the tower are calculated from the coordinates of the hotel and of the tower, in a straight line; walking times to stations use the same coordinates, multiplied by 1.3 at 80 m a minute. Only hotels checked by hand have confirmed facilities here. For the others we give the official category, rooms, address, metro and the dated facts published on the hotel’s site, and we mark what the hotel says of itself. No price is given.
Where to stay in the 15th
The 15th is a large arrondissement, and the fifteen show four different sides of it.

- Grenelle and the Seine, near the tower. Mercure Centre Tour Eiffel, Eiffel Seine, France Eiffel, Dupleix Hotel, Gustave, Relais Saint-Charles and Pacific lie within about 1.1 km of the tower, on line 6 at Bir-Hakeim and Dupleix and at Champ de Mars (RER C). This is the part to choose for tower views and a short walk.
- Rue de Vaugirard. Yllen Eiffel, Avia Saphir and Avenir Vaugirard stand on this long street, close to Volontaires, Pasteur and Convention stations on lines 12 and 6.
- La Motte-Picquet, Ségur and Javel. Tourisme Avenue is at La Motte Picquet – Grenelle (lines 6, 8 and 10), Le Bailli de Sufren at Ségur (line 10) and Mercure Pont Mirabeau at Javel – André Citroën (line 10 and RER C).
- The south-west edge. Mercure Vaugirard, which has a private underground car park, and Clarisse, with parking spaces on reservation, are served by line 12 and the trams T2 and T3a.
For couples and families, the data recommends the tower side: it is residential, with large green spaces nearby, the Champ-de-Mars and the esplanade des Invalides. The 15th is weaker for nightlife and Sunday shopping, apart from Beaugrenelle. Foreign authorities name the tower and the Trocadéro among the places where thieves target visitors.
