Rue d’Aix, off the canal
Garbo Hôtel is at 3 rue d’Aix in the 10th arrondissement, in the Goncourt sector of the Canal Saint-Martin area. Our file puts it some 400 m from the quai de Jemmapes, on the Hôpital Saint-Louis side. Atout France lists it four stars, reclassified on 17 March 2026, with 36 rooms. It is independent, with no group named in our file.
Rooms and the Garbo theme
The hotel says its interior was redesigned in autumn 2025 around Greta Garbo, using curves, mouldings and marble. It offers a buffet breakfast from 7 to 11 am, a day-use formula from 11 am to 5 pm, and a “Love Room” package with a romantic decor. La Divine, a room with a sofa bed, takes four people, and two rooms are described as accessible. The bar serves no alcohol.
Metro and travel times
Goncourt on line 11 is 100 m away (2 minutes). République, with lines 3, 5, 9 and 11 (line 8 does not stop there from 22 July 2026 to April 2027, because of works), is 550 m (7 minutes) and Belleville, lines 2 and 11, is 700 m (9). From our canal reference point on the quai de Jemmapes, the Louvre pyramid is 25.5 minutes away, Notre-Dame 25 and the Eiffel Tower 41; Charles de Gaulle terminal 2 is about 55.5 minutes and Orly 47.5.
Next to its neighbours
Among the nine hotels in our base for the canal area are also Hôtel Àmoi (23 rooms, near Jacques Bonsergent), Hôtel Providence (18 rooms) and the larger Le Grand Quartier (83 rooms) and Bloom House (91). At 36 rooms Garbo sits between the small boutique houses and those bigger four-stars.
