According to Wikipedia, rue Oberkampf became a fashionable street in the 1990s, with cafés, restaurants, clubs and concert halls, mostly in its eastern half, and rue de Lappe is described as the heart of the fashionable Bastille quarter, famed for its nightlife. Saint-Ambroise (line 9) is three minutes away, Parmentier (line 3) four and Richard Lenoir (line 5) six. From our rue Oberkampf reference point, 500 m from the hotel, the Louvre pyramid is 26.5 minutes away by metro (lines 3, 11 and 1), Notre-Dame 25 (lines 3 and 4) and the Eiffel Tower 41.5 (a walk to Saint-Ambroise, then line 9 to Iéna). That route does not depend on République, where line 8 does not stop from 22 July 2026 to April 2027 because of works; lines 3, 5, 9 and 11 still serve it.
