Hôtel Parisianer: a 4-star on rue Hector-Malot, by Gare de Lyon

Two minutes from the station

Hôtel Parisianer is at 5 rue Hector-Malot, in the 12th arrondissement, about 150 metres from Gare de Lyon on the boulevard Diderot side, in the Quinze-Vingts administrative district. Atout France, the French rating body, classified it four stars on 25 June 2024 and counts 37 rooms. It is an independent hotel.

The hotel describes itself as a former youth hostel turned four-star, with Art Deco touches. We report this as its own account.

Rooms and facilities

The hotel lists a gym, with yoga classes mentioned, a bar, a terrace and an inner courtyard, as well as air conditioning and a reception that never closes. Pets and accessibility for reduced mobility are not mentioned on the pages we read, so we say nothing on them. The record names no designer.

Metro and journeys

Gare de Lyon (lines 1 and 14, RER A and D, Transilien R) is 150 metres away. Ledru-Rollin (line 8) and Bercy (lines 6 and 14) are both 11 minutes on foot.

Our reference point is place Louis-Armand, in front of the station and about 210 metres from the hotel: public transport takes 17 minutes to the Louvre pyramid, 16 to Notre-Dame and 35 to the Eiffel Tower. Orly is about 28 minutes away, Charles de Gaulle terminal 1 about 50 and terminal 2 about 56.5.

Compared with its neighbours

Maison Traversière (49) is 250 metres from the station, on the Aligre market side, and lists air conditioning only. Pullman Paris Centre - Bercy (392 rooms) has the pool and spa, but is on the Bercy Village side. Among the six four-stars, Parisianer is the only one that lists a courtyard and a terrace.

The area page, hotels in Bercy, compares all nine; the station page is hotels near Gare de Lyon, and hotels in the 12th arrondissement lists the district.
