A literary address by the Élysée

Le Pavillon des Lettres is at 12 rue des Saussaies, opposite no. 11, the Interior Ministry on the place Beauvau, a few streets from the Élysée Palace. The administrative quartier is Madeleine, and the hotel falls within our Champs-Élysées and Triangle d’or area. It belongs to the Chevalier Paris group. Atout France, the national classification body, has rated it four stars since 7 March 2022, for 26 rooms; the hotel’s own site gives the same figure.

Rooms and the literary theme

The hotel calls itself a literary hotel: its 26 rooms and suites echo the 26 letters of the alphabet, and each is dedicated to an author. The hotel lists family rooms that take up to six people, built from a Deluxe room and one or two Superior rooms connected by a private corridor.

There is a bar serving tapas on an honesty basis, a terrace and room service. Parking spaces can be reserved, subject to availability. Air conditioning, accessible rooms and pets are not mentioned on the Services page.

Metro and the district

Miromesnil (lines 9 and 13) is 450 metres away, six minutes; Saint-Augustin (line 9) is 600 metres, seven minutes; and Champs-Élysées – Clemenceau (lines 1 and 13) is 650 metres, eight minutes. The area’s reference point is the Rond-Point des Champs-Élysées, 650 metres from the hotel. From it, a theoretical transit journey takes about 13 minutes to the Louvre (line 1), 19 to the Eiffel Tower (line 9) and 22 to Notre-Dame (line 1 to Hôtel de Ville).
