A listed façade on avenue de Wagram

Hôtel Élysées Ceramic stands at 34 avenue de Wagram, in the 8th arrondissement, about 300 m from place Charles-de-Gaulle. The Mérimée heritage register records the Céramic Hôtel façade as the work of Jules Lavirotte in 1904, in glazed ceramic, listed as a historic monument on 17 July 1964. Atout France classified the hotel three stars on 23 September 2022; it has 57 rooms and no chain name.

Ternes (line 2) is 200 m away, two minutes on foot. Charles de Gaulle–Étoile, with lines 1, 2 and 6 and RER A, takes four minutes, and Courcelles (line 2) nine.

Rooms and facilities

The hotel lists air conditioning, a lift, a planted interior patio and bar service. Triple and quadruple rooms take up to four people. The hotel states that it is not adapted to reduced mobility, citing access steps and the historic façade, and pets are refused. Breakfast is sold separately. The hotel says the Arc de Triomphe can be seen from the building, without naming the rooms.

The cheaper end of the Champs-Élysées area

Atout France lists 154 hotels in the four administrative quartiers behind our Champs-Élysées area: 45 five-star, 69 four-star, 35 three-star and only five with one or two stars. Of the three lower-category hotels in this list of nine (two three-star, one two-star), Hôtel Élysées Ceramic is the largest at 57 rooms; Hôtel Le Colisée has 45 with a bar and air conditioning, and the two-star Hôtel Petit Saint-Honoré has 19. The Ceramic adds a patio and family rooms. Four-star houses such as Hôtel Ekta are described on their own page.

Distances

The avenue George V reference point is about 1,000 m from the hotel, so these times start well away from it. From there the median journey is 20 minutes by metro to the Louvre and 26.5 by metro and RER C to Notre-Dame, while the Eiffel Tower is a direct 1,551 m walk of 19 minutes. The hotel is much closer to Étoile than to that point. Line 1 and RER A at Étoile reach La Défense and Disneyland.
