A former tap factory near the canal
Le Robinet d’Or is at 17 rue Robert-Blache, in the north of the 10th arrondissement, about 150 metres from the quai de Valmy where the Canal Saint-Martin runs past the Récollets lock and the Louis-Blanc basin. The hotel is independent. Atout France, the national classification body, has rated it three stars since 29 June 2023, for 17 rooms.
The building is a former tap factory of the 1930s. The hotel keeps an industrial décor of concrete, zinc and old parquet, and its rooms are in an English style.
Rooms and services
There is a French restaurant open 11 am to 11 pm and room service from 7 am to 11 pm. The rooms are air-conditioned, pets are accepted, and a baby bed and bath are available on request. A secure underground car park can be booked. One room is adapted for reduced mobility.
The honest limit is the building itself: there is no lift in this former factory, and staff carry the bags. Families with a pushchair or guests with limited mobility should ask first, despite the adapted room.
Metro and the canal
Château-Landon (line 7) is 250 metres, three minutes on foot. Louis Blanc (lines 7 and 7 bis) is 450 metres, five minutes. Gare de l’Est, with lines 4, 5 and 7 and the Transilien P, is 500 metres, six minutes. From 102 quai de Jemmapes, the quartier’s reference point about 500 metres from the hotel, a theoretical journey takes about 26 minutes to the Louvre (walk to Château-Landon, then line 7), 25 to Notre-Dame (line 4 from Gare de l’Est) and 41 to the Eiffel Tower (République, then line 9), outside disruption.
