Beside the Bon Marché

The hotel is at 45 boulevard Raspail, at the corner of the rue de Sèvres, facing the square Boucicaut and next to the Bon Marché, in the Notre-Dame-des-Champs administrative district on the western edge of Saint-Germain, in the 6th arrondissement. The building is inscribed as a historic monument (16 October 2007). The hotel belongs to the Mandarin Oriental group. After the Liberation, it received deportees returning from the camps, according to its own account.

Atout France classified it five stars on 26 March 2024 and counts 184 rooms. It is also the only Palace of the Left Bank on the 2026 list.

Rooms and services

The file lists family rooms, accessible rooms, parking, a restaurant and a bar, plus the Akasha wellness centre with its 17-metre pool and a fitness room.

It is the only Palace among the nine hotels of this list. L’Hôtel, a five-star on the rue des Beaux-Arts, has 20 rooms and a pool; the Montalembert, also five stars, has 50 rooms and a restaurant.

Metro and sights

Sèvres-Babylone (lines 10 and 12) is about a minute away, Saint-Sulpice (line 4) four and Rennes (line 12) five. Our place Saint-Germain-des-Prés reference point lies 560 metres east of the hotel. From it, Notre-Dame is 11.5 minutes away by line 4, and the Louvre pyramid is a direct walk of 1,033 metres (13 minutes). The Eiffel Tower is 30 minutes away: a walk to the Musée d’Orsay, then RER C, because the line 4 station at Saint-Michel is closed until 19 December 2026. Orly is about 37 minutes from the same point.
