A food street in the 7th

The Grand Hôtel Lévêque is at 29 rue Cler, in the Gros-Caillou district of the 7th arrondissement. Rue Cler is pedestrian over the stretch that matters here and is devoted to food shops, according to the encyclopedia entry we rely on. The hotel itself says it is under ten minutes on foot from the Eiffel Tower.

Atout France, the French classification body, gave it three stars on 28 October 2024, for 46 rooms. No group appears on its legal page; we treat it as independent. Our guide places it in the Eiffel Tower quartier.

Rooms and breakfast

The Superior and Comfort double rooms have a balcony facing the tower, according to the hotel, and the Triple Deluxe a partial view. Families have two choices: a quadruple room whose parts communicate, for four people, and a family room. Breakfast is a buffet and there is an honesty bar, in which guests serve themselves. The pages we read do not mention air conditioning, a restaurant, a spa or a pool, and the hotel says outright that it has no accessible room.

Metro and journey times

École Militaire, on line 8, is 350 metres away, about five minutes; La Tour-Maubourg, also line 8, 400 metres, five minutes; Invalides (lines 8 and 13, RER C) 850 metres, ten. From rue Cler itself, the Eiffel Tower is about 14 minutes away on foot (1,125 m, our calculation); by metro, a theoretical journey takes about 20 minutes to the Louvre and 26 to Notre-Dame, outside disruption.

Against its neighbours

Of the nine hotels in our database for the quartier, three are rated three stars or fewer, and the Lévêque is the largest of the three. The others are Hôtel de l’Empereur, a three-star of 31 rooms about 270 metres away that lists air conditioning, accessible rooms and pets, and the two-star Dupleix Hotel, with 19 rooms. The One Alma Paris, a five-star with a rooftop and spa, is 520 metres away. Hôtel Thoumieux and Hôtel La Comtesse, both four-stars, are 315 and 400 metres away. Our Eiffel Tower hotel list shows all nine.
