Above the brasserie, rue Saint-Dominique
Hôtel Thoumieux is at 79 rue Saint-Dominique in the 7th arrondissement, in the Gros-Caillou district, between the Invalides and the Champ-de-Mars and about a kilometre from the Eiffel Tower. The 15 rooms sit above the Thoumieux brasserie. Atout France classified the hotel four stars on 24 February 2022. At 15 rooms it is the smallest of the nine hotels on our Eiffel Tower list.
Rooms, brasserie and bar
The Deluxe rooms, which look onto rue Saint-Dominique or a courtyard, carry a table by India Mahdavi; a Prestige room sits under the roof. The brasserie, open since 1923 and furnished with red velvet banquettes, serves 12 to 2:30 pm and 6 to 11 pm every day, and the building also houses the Thoumieux Record Bar. Air conditioning, accessibility and pets were not read on the hotel’s pages.
Metro and travel times
La Tour-Maubourg on line 8 is 350 m away (4 minutes), Invalides, with lines 8 and 13 and RER C, 500 m (6) and École Militaire on line 8 750 m (9). From our rue Cler reference point, about 360 metres from the hotel, the Eiffel Tower is a 14-minute direct walk of 1,125 metres, the Louvre pyramid 20.5 minutes and Notre-Dame 26 by public transport; Orly is about 46.5 minutes.
