A literary four-star near Cadet

Les Plumes Hôtel is at 10 rue Lamartine, south-east of Notre-Dame-de-Lorette and 150 metres from Cadet station. The administrative quartier is Rochechouart, and the hotel belongs to the area we cover as Pigalle and SoPi. It is independent. Atout France, the national classification body, has rated it four stars since 8 August 2023, for 35 rooms.

Its position deserves a plain word. It is nearer the faubourg Montmartre and Cadet than Pigalle, roughly 750 metres from place Pigalle in a straight line, so we describe it as the southern, Lorette side of the district.

Rooms and the theme

The hotel builds its identity on a romantic nineteenth-century Paris and the couples of its literature: Verlaine and Rimbaud, Hugo and Juliette Drouet, Sand and Musset. It adds that the staff wear costumes inspired by that era. The Classic rooms have a balcony or a terrace.

The listed equipment is a bar, a garden patio, air conditioning, family rooms and accessible rooms. The hotel presents two communicating rooms for a family of four. We found no restaurant, pool or gym.

Metro and journeys

All three nearby stations are on line 7: Cadet (150 metres, two minutes), Le Peletier (350 metres, four minutes) and Poissonnière (500 metres, seven minutes). Lines 2 and 12 mean a longer walk to Pigalle. For the quartier, our theoretical metro times from 30 rue des Martyrs are about 19 minutes to the Louvre, 26 to Notre-Dame and 35 to the Eiffel Tower, outside disruption.
