At the foot of the Butte
Mom’Art Hôtel is at 42 rue d’Orsel, on the south-east side of the Butte Montmartre in the 18th arrondissement, within the Clignancourt administrative quarter. The funicular’s lower station is 150 m away and Anvers métro 200 m. Atout France ranked the hotel four stars on 17 July 2023 and counts 25 rooms, the same as Monsieur Aristide and well below Terrass” Hotel (92).
Theme, rooms and services
The hotel takes its theme from Poulbot’s “Mômes” and the Montmartre artists, and says it was renovated by the architect Jacques Mechali. It places itself between the Basilica and the Abbesses, behind the Trianon and the Élysée Montmartre. Its 25 rooms and suites are split into five “universes”. The restaurant Le Patio seats 50 and can be hired; there is a bar de l’Artiste, a planted patio for breakfast, a free fitness room with treadmill, elliptical and weights, and a sauna from 8 am to 10 pm. Air conditioning is shown on one room page only. The room L’Atelier, with a 7 m balcony, is offered for families or friends; the hotel does not give its capacity.
Métro, funicular and sights
Anvers (line 2) is three minutes away and the funicular’s lower station two; its upper station, on the rue du Cardinal-Dubois, is four minutes from the hotel. Place des Abbesses, our reference point, is 330 metres from the hotel. From it, the Louvre pyramid is 22.5 minutes by transit, Notre-Dame 27.5, the Eiffel Tower 36 and Orly 45.5; Charles-de-Gaulle terminal 1 is 51.5 minutes and terminal 2 56.5.
